After over ten years of groundbreaking work, we are proud to announce an important new chapter in our journey. We are excited to share our new website and refreshed branding — a reflection of both how far we have come and the bold future we are building together. We hope you like it!
BroadFutures welcomed three new team members this month! Though they all come from different backgrounds, these three are united by their passion for youth empowerment, supporting accessibility, and public service. Learn about our new employees here:
Maitland Mann serves as our new Program Manager, where she supports DC interns throughout their internship and ensures they have successful, educational, and enjoyable experiences. Before joining BroadFutures, Maitland was an English teacher and librarian in Fairfax County Public Schools, where she focused on fostering inclusive learning environments for all students.
Why BroadFutures: As a former educator, I'm excited to join BroadFutures to further my work supporting neurodivergent young people. I especially look forward to fostering community amongst the participants in the program and instilling life-long skills!
Dariya Brann is our new Program and Communications Associate. Her work includes supporting marketing and administrative efforts, as well as providing mentorship to our national interns. Before joining BroadFutures, Dariya served as a White House intern and as an academic mentor to high school and college students.
Why BroadFutures: I joined BroadFutures because its mission is dear to my heart. My neurodivergent sibling has benefitted from a similar program; I have seen how life-changing this kind of support can be. I am excited to join the team and help empower neurodivergent youth!
Manal Sidi works as our new Program Administrator, supporting the growth of our interns and employer partners in DC and ensuring we effectively carry out our mission. Before joining BroadFutures, Manal collaborated with employers and universities to expand access to employment and educational opportunities to recently resettled refugees and immigrants as a Program Manager at Welcome US.
Why BroadFutures: I’m thrilled to join the BroadFutures team and contribute to the mission of creating a more inclusive workforce. I am excited to be collaborating with such dedicated colleagues and helping ensure that our interns are fully empowered to excel in their careers.
Welcome Maitland, Dariya, and Manal!
