Congratulations to our Winter Strengths Program Participants!

We celebrated the end of our virtual Winter Strengths Program this week! To all of the inspired participants, we are so proud of all of your hard work and accomplishments. Thank you for making this program such a success! Congratulations on completing the program and we wish you the best of luck in your next steps!!

BroadFutures Alumni joined for Communication Workshops

BroadFutures Alumni joined the Winter Strengths Program participants for communication workshops with our Drama Artist, Raymond Caldwell, as well as a guest presentation from Getting Hired. Thanks to all the alumni who were able to join us! Be sure to be on the lookout for upcoming alumni events in the near future.

Want to focus on college and career readiness? Given the demand in our community and the success of our virtual programs, we intend to run more virtual Strengths Programs! Dates are to be determined. Check our website soon for updates!

What else we have been up to this month...

We hosted a webinar with Beyond Akeela and Dr. Black from the Center for Assessment & Treatment to discuss the importance of empowering young people through self-advocacy. Thanks to everyone who joined us!

Participant Spotlight - Ezekiel McShay

Meet Ezekiel, a valued member of our Winter Strengths cohort. A 20-year-old from Washington, DC and graduate of H.D. Woodson High School, Ezekiel brings a fun and upbeat energy to the program with his positivity and enthusiasm. In his free time, Ezekiel enjoys meeting new people, watching his favorite football and basketball teams, and listening to music. He is also a very talented artist and enjoys creating his own cartoons and comics. 

Ezekiel's favorite part of the BroadFutures program has been stepping up and taking on more of a leadership role whenever needed. He also reflected that one of the greatest takeaways from our program was the verbal communication tips from our drama instructor, Raymond Caldwell. 

Ezekiel, thanks for being such a great addition to the cohort. We are excited to hear about your future success and accomplishments!
