A Successful Success Summit |
|
|
|
This month, BroadFutures hosted our first-ever Success Summit, a new program bringing together 12 neurodivergent young people for an immersive three-day professional development experience. Participants strengthened career readiness skills through our comprehensive and supportive training model while also engaging in peer-to-peer learning and connection.
Participants built relationships and made new friendships through shared meals, group outings, networking activities, and community-building exercises.
We are excited about the progress and growth the Summit participants demonstrated over the course of the weekend and look forward to seeing the ripple effects of this new program. |

Meet Ina Alvarado, an inspired BroadFutures alum from our Summer 2024 cohort, where she interned with The AES Corporation.
Originally from Houston, Texas, Ina is heading into her senior year at Colby College, where she is preparing for a senior honors thesis in the Spanish department focused in early childhood literature. In the future, she hopes to get a PhD in early childhood education with a focus in disability studies!
Her biggest BroadFutures takeaway? It is never too late to advocate for yourself. And her advice to current interns? Do not let anything stop you. You deserve space and time, so take it!
Ina's journey is a powerful reminder that impact does not end when a program does. |
