OUR FALL GALA WAS A HUGE SUCCESS |
|
|
It was a gorgeous night at the Wharf on the rooftop of our employer partner CBRE for our New Opportunities, New Impact Fall Gala. Thank you to CBRE for hosting and to everyone who came out and supported us, as well as our many generous donors who were unable to be with us in person. We experienced a wonderful and successful Gala, hearing directly from our inspired BroadFutures team, interns, parents, donors, and employers. In addition to surpassing our $30k scholarship match goal, we raised $30,000 more than last year’s Gala and welcomed 30% more attendees as compared with last year.
Even if you missed our event, you can still be a part of it! Donate HERE to our Gala campaign to support our mission and THANK YOU for helping us continue to empower young neurodivergent people and diversify the workplace. Soon we will be sharing with everyone a video recapping the evening. The video will feature happenings and videos from throughout the event, including our incredible interns, employers, donors and Champion Awardees!! |

Alumni Spotlight – Alexandra Jaramillo |
This month’s spotlight is Alexandra Jaramillo, a Summer 2022 participant. Alexandra and Fall Gala Speaker. Alexandra is current first-year student at the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies, SAIS, in Washington DC. Her studies have a regional focus on China, and a policy focus on strategy, securities, and statecraft. Through the BroadFutures program, she was a research intern for the political economy team the Center for Strategic International Studies (CSIS).
When looking back on her time at BroadFutures, Alexandra noted that “BroadFutures helped to organize the internship position and offered the space and opportunity to grow and ask questions to help better myself professionally. The program’s work in interpersonal relationships, speech practice, and personal development and regulation helped me make the most of my time at CSIS, and I will carry those newfound skills forward in my studies at SAIS and beyond.”
Congratulations Alexandra and wishing you the best. Stay in touch and do not be a stranger!! |
